CYO TRAVEL LEAGUES

• Players are selected through tryouts and preference is given to registered parishioners and students of St. Martin School.

• The county rule is that a travel team may have up to 3 non-parishioners. 

• You must be a registered parishioner of St. Martin for at least one year prior to September to have registered parishioner status at travel try-outs. 

• All registered parishioners on St. Martin travel teams must be registered for religious education.

• You must live within the St. Martin parish boundary. 

• Exception:  If you are a registered parishioner of St. Martin, but live outside the parish boundary, then we must receive documentation from the parish within that boundary that you are not an “active” parishioner at that parish. 

• Catholics in adjoining parishes that don't have travel teams, such as St. Mary's Wappingers, Holy Trinity and St. Stanislaus, may participate on a St. Martin travel team with authorization from the CYO County Director.  Catholic players will not be counted as an exception on the assigned team.  

• Boys and girls can only play travel or intramurals, but not both.

• Travel teams practice two times per week.

• Travel team members also pay an additional fee of $30 to cover the Archdiocesan fee plus they must pay a uniform fee of about $75, both of which aren't included in the family cap.  Fees for any travel tournaments would be an additional charge.  

• County games are played from December through late February on Saturdays and Sundays.  Some away tournament games could be on weekday evenings.  

• Home travel games are at Todd Middle School for B6, B7, B8 and G78 teams on Saturday morning/afternoon and at St. Martin for B4, B5, and G56 teams on Saturday evenings.
