Discovering Christ Starts 1/7 at St. Martin

Parents, please see the attached flyer about Discovering Christ, which includes a good video about the impact this program can have on your life. It starts 1/7 at St. Martin in the Nativity Center and goes for 7 weeks, all of which include a delicious meal each night.

As I shared earlier, I was actively involved with this program for a decade pre-Covid as a participant, then a table leader and part of the core team. If you're just going through the motions at church or not even going to church, then take some time to consider what it would mean if you did have a personal relationship with Jesus and had Christ at the center of your life?

I got involved with CYO in 2002 and started running the program in 2006. If not for the priests at St. Martin with whom I met on CYO as well as the ChristLife program, which also includes Following Christ and Sharing Christ, I may not have developed this personal relationship with Jesus and learned the meaning of life. You've heard that your plans aren't God's plans and this was true for me. I got involved with CYO purely for basketball and had no interest in the "C' in CYO. Little did I know at the time that this was God's way for me to get closer to Him through basketball. While I'm a sinner and far from perfect, I try to grow my relationship with Christ each day, which is why I enjoy the TMIY (That Man Is You) men's group at Holy Trinity on Saturday mornings, enrolled in the New York Catholic Bible School in which I'm in Year 3 Trimester 3 of a 4 year program that covers every book in the Bible and why I enjoy sending the daily Word of God emails, which encourages me to read the daily scripture passages before studying the reflections and viewing the video.
